Well, things have slowed dramatically on this forum but I used to share my hunting photos and stories with Del and I feel like I should keep that going.
I had this buck on my trail camera the last month before the season. This area had like 15-20 tag holders hunting it opening weekend so I didn't even hunt it. I found this buck Friday and was able to get him. It was a tough hunt due to the heat but I found fresh deer tracks in an area and just hit it hard, trying to cover as much ground as possible. I am thankful to have got this buck and even though he is not a giant, he is good enough for me. I am super content and happy with him. I know Del would've loved that I had trail cam photos to go along with him.
