    Bartlett Lake

I have been looking at the regulations and can't figure out if you can duck hunt the north end of Bartlett Lake. Does anyone know specifically if you can hunt Bartlett at all? I assume it's in Unit 22?

    Thanks in advance.

Don't know about Fartlett but if you go to Kiwanis park you can get them to follow you all the way into your truck with some bread or popcorn. You don't even need camouflage.

Yes you can duck hunt Bartlett if you want to shoot coots? You can go up river and set out decoys used to be good there just like horseshoe used to be good in the old days. Now most of the birds fly down to the Fort McDowell reservation and hang out there all winter where there is no hunting on the Verde river on the res. One thing if the weather is nice a lot of cat fishermen fish the night and day up there and bass guys will fish up lake so have to be careful of fishermen. Go easy up river with the lake dropping so fast lots of things not marked stay in the main channel till you commit to a spot. A nice crappy rainy windy day would be your best bet, blue bird days not much moves anywhere on the Verde.
You will see occasional geese or small flights of ducks there one day gone the next, geese will head to Scottsdale for the winter and hang out on the urban ponds and feed on the reservation alfalfa fields on the east side the 101

I appreciate the info. Have new duck boat we need to run for a bit and just check it out so not terribly worried about finding a honey hole, but it would be a bonus if we could get some stragglers to knock down.

    Thanks again!
