    Arrow flickers.

Good luck Friday on the elk hunt. Buddy was up deer hunting in my blind last weekend and someone had collapsed it. Probably Skunko. He heard a bunch of racket an hour before dark and a new Lexus followed by a new Escalade came down a nasty little 2-track to the waterhole. Lady got out and dropped trou and peed while buddy was standing there holding his bow. She jumped up and said they were going to camp on the edge of the waterhole. He told her all the roads were closed. Her hubby walks up and starts yelling that the roads were not closed. Buddy took photos of their rigs and told them if they didn't get out he would hike out and call G&F and the FS. Hubby had already unpacked a bunch of camp gear so he packed it back up and they left. The wife told him that they were hunters too and she held the record for the second biggest cow elk killed in Arizona. Guess they measured the tits for that one. Funny shit out in the woods.

Good luck on your elk hunt sir and to everyone else. I am most likely going to eat my tag. I have seen one bull that might score 350. A lot of bulls with no tops.
If you run into an issue again in the field take their plate and contact G and F and the forest service. Interfering with a legal hunter is now considered a civil rights violation.

Randy, need to hunt your tag. Buddy saw some really big bulls last week and one that was spectacular. He hunts all over the world and knows his stuff. He has sent me trail cam photos of 4 decent bulls that looked good. I will settle for whatever I can kill with a clean shot.

Oh I plan on 7 to 10 hard days.
HOPING for a 380 or better but tough year for that kind of bull.

Back home from 6 and a half days of hard hunting unit 1.
Have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Due to the lack of rain, I expected to see alot of mature bulls with good bottoms and lousy tops. That was not the case.
Called in multiple bulls every day. I let a 340 class bull walk opening morning. 2 hours later i passed on a mature bull that might score 300.
After that it was one young bull after another, all of them 1 to 3.5 years old. Maybe in a few years unit 1 will be back but I did not see anything worth shooting.

Here's a tip, leave the damn elk bugle at home. Cow calls work great, bugles tend to just shut them down.

I also want to thank AZGF for putting the cow hunt on top of the bull hunt (you ignorant fuking dumbasses).

Hope everyone else did better than I did!
