    Lake Pleasant Stripers 10-25-17

Launched at the north 4 lane late afternoon. Fished east side of Castle Creek in 43ft. of water that had a shelf that went to 20ft on the boat swing. Started about 6pm and used chovies. Bite was fair to good from 9pm until 2am. Caught 12 stripers with several 1.5lbs and two channel cats with the biggest at 3.5 lbs. Once Big Red (the sun) came up that was it for the bite. Those stripers really put up a fight for their size. Really nice night on the water not too cool, no wind to mention, and all the stars you want. Windfinder.com said we would have winds 5-7mph but not where we were.........

Nice catch, Yep I had that weather too, much calmer than windfinder predicted, almost no wind breeze all night. I sure like when that happens and its not worse than predicted, I have come up with a 50% rule for windfinder. If the wilnd predicted is 12 then I can expect it to be 6 to 18, and 18 is about as much as I want so I don't go if over 12 is predicted. The moon went down was going down about at about 3 am and the shad got thick around the boat.
I have to check windfinder, and see how this weather is holding, makes me want to get out again.
